Sophie was more than a companion to her caregiver, Claire – she was a fresh sight for sore eyes after long work days, an endless supply of laughter, joy, and loyalty. They were inseparable, sharing camping trips, hiking adventures, and holiday celebrations. Sophie was a great teacher. Through all of life’s peaks and valleys, she was a gentle reminder of the simpler things that mattered. When the time came for her time on earth to end, it was filled with peace, grace and many tears. Claire commemorated Sophie’s life with friends, each one sharing memories of how Sophie affected them and how she inspired them to get a pet of their own. Through Sophie’s passing, Claire transferred her sadness and creative passion into creating a line of exclusive collection of luxury keepsakes to cherish, celebrate and commemorate a pet’s impact on our lives. Luxepets was born.

Rather than being a jack of all trades, we focus on luxury vegan pet collars for smaller dog breeds, using the softest premium vegan leather available. These vegan dog collars are expertly crafted so delicate fur from Yorkies, Shih-Tzus, Maltese etc won't get caught. The design classic, colors bold, bright colors that stay on-trend while providing maximum comfort. We have clients who come back and order year after year for their furbabies.
Our St. Francis pet tags honor the spiritual bond between pets and families. We've upgraded timeless symbolism of St. Francis, patron saint of animals, with bold enamels. Our custom pet tags were designed to stand the test of time, crafted from solid brass vs. cheap nickel, with nickel-free finishes that won't irritate sensitive skin.

Who is Claire?
With over fifteen years in the graphic design industry, Claire Chew has been involved in everything from early stages of concept development to executive level operations and management of leading consulting and development companies. In her past role as Director of Creative Services for the LA office of a leading NASDAQ web development company, she delivered innovative Internet-based solutions and applications to Fortune 1000 companies. Partial past clients include Virgin Records, Honda Motorcycles, Kaiser Permanente, and Cedars-Sinai.
Throughout her career, Claire has maintained a commitment to giving back, donating design hours to nonprofit clients including Step-Up Women's Network, American Cancer Society, Blue Yonder Foundation, Venice Arts Mecca, El Rescate and Liberty Hill. This spirit of service continues today where Claire is active in the animal welfare and rescue groups in LA, often providing pro-bono services for underserved communities.
Her journey with Sophie inspired Claire to pivot careers to more meaning work. She returned to the drawing board and earned her Masters in Spiritual Psychology from University of Santa Monica, Grief Recovery Certification, Reiki I & II certification, Animal Reiki I & II certification, Group Grief Bereavement Certification, Compassion Fatigue Specialist, and most recently Death Doula via INELDA.
Claire's journey to these healing certifications was born from profound personal experiences - being diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer at 19, being told she would never become a mother due to infertility from cancer, then using spiritual tools to heal herself from Hashimoto's disease and conceive naturally, only to lose her mother to suicide the same week she found out she was pregnant. When not helping the helpers, Claire can be found loving up her 2 rescued dogs Lucy and Linus, and her kitties Babywipe and Bongwater.
